NEW DELHI: Former India batsman Ambati Rayudu tickled his humor to take an indirect dig at Royal Challengers Bengaluru by sharing Chennai Super Kings' fifth IPL title celebration video on Instagram.

In the video, CSK players are seen celebrating their fifth IPL trophy last year. Rayudu's action is believed to be in response to RCB's exuberant celebrations after eliminating CSK and securing a place in the playoffs.

“Just a gentle reminder…” Rayudu captioned the video.

The former CSK batsman also attacked RCB after their loss to Rajasthan Royals in the Eliminator on Wednesday, saying that aggressive celebration does not win trophies.

“If you talk about RCB today, it shows that passion and aggressive celebration alone do not win trophies. You have to plan. You did not win the IPL trophy just by reaching the playoffs. You have to play with the same hunger. You cannot think that you will win the IPL trophy just by beating CSK. You have to come back next year,” Rayudu told Star Sports.

Highlighting the franchise's problems, Rayudu stated that RCB lacks confidence in its Indian players. He cited Virat Kohli as an example and pointed out that apart from the former Indian captain, no one else has consistently committed to the team.

“They need to show more confidence in Indians, especially Indian talent. I don't think any Indian batsman except Virat Kohli has scored more than 1000 runs in the last 16 years and Virat is at 8000. That shows you don't.” “I have no faith in Indian talent,” added he added.
