“Interstellar” celebrates its 10th anniversary, makers postpone cinema re-release date | Entertainment News

Interstellar is celebrating its 10th anniversary and will be re-released in December

Re-release of Interstellar: Acclaimed director Christopher Nolan's Interstellar will soon complete its tenth year of release. The makers are planning to bring the film to the screen again on its 10th anniversary.

According to a report from Variety, the film was originally scheduled to hit theaters on September 27, 2024, but now it has been delayed by more than two months and will hit theaters on December 6, 2024. This is a home entertainment relaunch.

The film, now in theaters on December 6th, will be shown in 70mm Imax print and on the digital screen. This theatrical release date will coincide with the home entertainment relaunch. Warner Bros. Pictures co-produced the film and is working with Paramount on the revival.

10th anniversary of Interstellar

Using a mix of standard digital prints and Nolan's preferred IMAX 70mm format, it's good for enthusiasts who don't want to miss the next Oppenheimer-style experience.

Studio sources cited by Variety refuted the rumor that 70mm copies of Interstellar were destroyed. Paramount claims to have archived more copies of the film than most other pictures. The source said that film reels were “wearing out” after the film's release, which wasn't surprising.
