Jawan on the 8th day

According to initial estimates, Jawan has added one more ₹19.50 crore to its staggering domestic box office collection so far. This is what the updated collection would look like after day 8 ₹388.72 crore, taking the film even closer to the grand milestone of ₹400 crore.

The distribution of ₹19.50 crore in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu is however not yet known. This number is ₹5 crore less than what the film earned on Wednesday ₹23.20 crore. However, it is safe to say that Jawan has entered the second week with a bang.

So far Jawan

Jawan ended its opening week in India with ₹369.22 crore, including the Hindi collection ₹327.88 crore and the South collection (Tamil + Telugu) is up to ₹41.55 crore. Apart from the exceptional domestic box office collection, Jawan has already crossed the border ₹650 crore worldwide.

Jawan – the way into the future

Going by the current trajectory, Jawan will definitely score ₹400 crore on second Friday. It is sure to do an impressive tally in the second weekend too, considering there is no Bollywood release this week that can compete with the film. The next releases, also with a mid-budget, are out next week on September 22: Shilpa Shetty’s comedy Sukhee and Vicky Kaushal’s dramedy The Great Indian Family.
