A number of airlines, including Air India, have suspended flights to Tel Aviv, Israel, until November 30, 2023. This comes against the backdrop of tensions between Israel and the Hamas group.

As NDTV reported on Monday (June 11, 2023), Air India flights to and from Tel Aviv have been suspended since October 7. “Flights to Tel Aviv have been suspended until November 30,” an airline spokesperson said.

In addition to Air India, American Airlines, Air France, Lufthansa, Emirates and Ryanair are other airlines that offer flights to Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv, Israel. The Federal Aviation Administration sent a request to pilots on Saturday (July 10) to be cautious when flying in the Tel Aviv area.

A similar decision was also made by the Lufthansa Group, which announced that all its flights, including those of Swiss International Air Lines and Austrian Airlines, to Tel Aviv were suspended.

“We continue to monitor the security situation in Israel and are in close contact with the authorities. The safety of our guests and crew members is Lufthansa's top priority,” Lufthansa said in a statement quoted by CNBC on Monday (October 9).
