Dhanush starts in 2023 Vaathiwhich is slated to hit theaters on February 17. A few weeks ago it was said that the film should be released on December 2nd. However, with the film’s first song, “Vaa Vaathi,” the creators confirmed that the Dhanush -starr will hit screens on February 17, 2023. The film’s music composer GV Prakash released two new posters of the film on Thursday, again confirming the release date.
Sharing the posters, GVP wrote, “With renewed spirit, we will bring #Vaathi #SIRMovie to theaters on February 17, 2023 (sic).”

Recently, Tamil heroes have started to team up with Telugu directors. Sivakarthikeyan’s prince (Director: Anudeep) and Vijay’s upcoming film Varisu (Director: Vamsi Paidipally) are some examples. Following the trend, Vaathi, directed by Tollywood filmmaker Venky Atluri, will be released simultaneously as Sir in Telugu.
Except DhanushVaathi has Samyuktha Menon, P. Sai Kumar, Tanikella Barani, Samuthirakani and Aadukalam Naren in key roles.
Since Dhanush’s last film Naane Varuvean was a disappointing affair, fans are hoping Vaathi would give the actor a much-needed hit. Dhanush is also working on the period film entitled Captain Miller. Directed by Rocky’s Arun Matheshwaran, the film is intended to be a big-budget project with plenty of scope for action sequences.
