Box Office Collection Day 4: Sandeep Reddy Vanga's Ranbir Kapoor-starrer family crime drama recorded a sumptuous success on the first Monday. Animal records a decline on the first Monday

After collecting ₹According to initial estimates, Animal earned 39.9 crore on Monday ₹241 crore in India so far. These include ₹63.8 crore on opening day, ₹66.27 crore on Saturday and ₹71.46 crore on Sunday. In comparison, it was Jawan's biggest hit of the year ₹30 crore on the first Monday. Pathaan's worldwide total currently stands at R1100 crore.

It depicts a violent world against the backdrop of a troubled relationship between Ranvijay Singh of Ranbir fame and his father Balbir Singh, played by Anil Kapoor. The film received an A certificate from the CBFC before its release.

Animal is produced by Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar's T-Series, Murad Khetani's Cine1 Studios and Pranay Reddy Vanga's Bhadrakali Pictures.

Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, the film released in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam on Friday.

Hindustan Times' review of the film said: “Animal is a thoroughly immersive, entertaining and ultra-violent thriller that doesn't believe in adhering to norms.” The bloodshed is not for the faint of heart. So be careful if you decide to watch it because there is a lot of it and you may not be able to take that much.”
