Coronavirus Variants and Vaccinations, Active Coronavirus Cases on India Today News, November 11th Highlights: The Covid-19 situation in India continues to improve. India reported 13,091 new coronavirus infections in the last 24 hours, bringing the total Covid-19 cases to 3,44.01,670 while active cases fell to 138,556, the lowest level in 266 days, according to the Union’s Ministry of Health. With 340 new fatalities, the number of Covid-19 fatalities rose to 462,189, said the Ministry of Health. The daily increase in new Covid-19 cases has been below 20,000 for the past 34 days and below 50,000 for 137 consecutive days.

Meanwhile, the World Health Organization said coronavirus cases are falling everywhere except Europe. According to the WHO, the number of Covid-19 deaths in Europe rose by 10% in the past week, making it the only region in the world where both new coronavirus infections and deaths are steadily increasing. It was the sixth straight week that the virus has risen across the continent. In its weekly report, the WHO said there were around 3.1 million new Covid-19 cases worldwide, almost 1% more than the previous week. About two-thirds of new infections (1.9 million) came from Europe alone, where cases increased by 7%. According to the WHO, the USA, Russia, Great Britain, Turkey and Germany are among the countries that have reported a high number of new infections in the past few days.
