Zoom reveals growth-focused tactics in Asia Pacific

JAKARTA (ANTARA) – Video conferencing service Zoom unveiled a number of strategies to boost business growth in the Asia Pacific region.

“Asia Pacific has always been a strategic area for Zoom’s international growth,” said Ricky Kapur, Head of APAC Zoom.

Kapur said the potential of this region is huge, driven by the new digital generation indigenous that will drive the transformation of Asia-Pacific’s fast-growing digital economy.

“We have been, and continue to be, committed to supporting our partners and customers here in their successful transition into the hybrid age,” said Kapur.

“As we expand our operations and team in the region, we look forward to continuing to innovate more frequently, helping our users seize new opportunities and address challenges with agility and confidence.”

In addition, Zoom expanded its presence in the Asia-Pacific region with the appointment of a new senior leader, namely Lucas Lu as Head of Asia (ASEAN, South Korea, Hong Kong SAR and Taiwan); Cathy Yum as Director of Marketing, APAC; Gina Kuek as APAC Leader, People Experience Business Partner.

Next is Jacob Pereira as Head of Partners, APAC; and Raj Natarajan as Head of Customer Success, APAC.

As another strategy, Zoom recently announced the launch of the Zoom Up Partner Program, which will expand the benefits for Zoom partners in Asia Pacific and make it easier for them to grow their business with Zoom.

Then, Zoom accelerates innovation in the Asia Pacific region, helping companies build and grow their businesses on the Zoom platform through the Zoom Developer Platform.

Through the Zoom developer platform, developers, platform integrators, service providers and users can easily create applications and integrations or integrate key Zoom technologies into their products and services to provide rich video communications capabilities to their users.

Zoom also wants to drive digital transformation through user success. Regionally, Zoom is trusted by users in various industries. From shaping the future of work, education and events to driving the hybrid transformation of the banking, healthcare and retail sectors.

In addition to video communication services for Zoom Meetings and Zoom Webinars, Zoom recognizes the emerging strong demand from users in the Asia Pacific region for products such as Zoom Room, Zoom Phone and Zoom Events.

In FY22Q4, Zoom secured its largest deal in Asia Pacific with over 3,300 Zoom Room users to support hybrid working in users’ offices.

Over the past year, Zoom Events has been used for several key events in Asia Pacific. Some of these include the Facility Management Forum 2021 hosted by the Indonesian government task force SKK Migas, and Zoomtopia 2021, Zoom’s annual conference for its users.

Earlier this month, Zoom also announced a new technology hub in Chennai, India. This facility complements Zoom’s existing technology centers in Bangalore, India and 21 data centers around the world including in Singapore, India, Australia, Japan and Hong Kong, as well as a research and development center in Singapore.
