WhatsApp Down: Failure hits Facebook, WhatsApp and Instagram services | International business news

NEW DELHI: The leading social media platforms WhatsApp, Instagram and Facebook collapsed late on Monday evening when a suspected global failure and a technical error interrupted their services.
The platforms, owned by the American internet giant Facebook, experienced outages around 9:00 p.m. Indian time and millions of users complained that no new messages were loaded and the user feed was interrupted.

When contacted, a Facebook spokesperson said in a statement: “We are aware that some people have problems accessing our apps and products. We are working to get things back to normal as soon as possible and we apologize for any inconvenience. ”

As soon as the outages had affected the services, users complained about the interruption of the services on the microblogging site Twitter.

Officials from the social media giants said urgent steps are being taken to resolve the problem at the earliest.
