West Indies are 132/9 in 19 overs

India vs. West Indies, 4th T20I, HIGHLIGHTS: India bundled West Indies for 132 and took an unassailable 3-1 lead in the series

Preview: Team India defeated West Indies in the third T20 at Warner Park, St Kitts on 2 August in what was largely a one-sided contest as the hosts failed to field a large total after batting first and were almost undone in bowling.

Suryakumar Yadav, who played as an opener in the current tournament, anchored and hit a brilliant 76 from 44 balls with no fewer than 12 boundaries.

Suryakumar formed a very good partnership with Shreyas Iyer and after they dropped out, Rishabh Pant made sure there were no more hiccups.

For the Men-in-Maroon, Kyle Mayers continued his purple stain, weaving an impressive 73-run innings, but that wasn’t enough as they could only set a goal of 165.

The action now shifts to the United States for the final two games in the series. However, there have been uncertainties surrounding several players’ visa clearances. Both sides were reportedly due to fly to Guyana for an appointment with the American Embassy on Wednesday, August 3.

However, if players are not granted US visas, Cricket West Indies will make alternative arrangements and the final two games may be moved to Trinidad. However, the Cricket West Indies chief is optimistic about issuing visas.

Rohit Sharma was injured while batting during the third T20I and could miss the next two games depending on how quickly he regains fitness. Sharma’s absence will be a heavy blow to India.

If India wins game four, they will seal the series. Winning the game and keeping the streak alive in game five will be paramount for the hosts.
