On the eve of Diwali, Indian and Pakistani troops exchanged sweets at the Ditwal Bridge on the Line of Control (LoC) on Thursday, ANI news agency reported. To mark the occasion, the Border Security Force (BSF) and Pakistan Rangers exchanged sweets at the Attari-Wagah and Indo-Pakistan international border in Gujarat and in the Palmer sector of Rajasthan.

It is customary to exchange sweets between India and Pakistan on major festivals like Eid, Holi, Deepavali and on the respective national days.

BSF troops exchange sweets with Bangladeshi border guards at the India-Bangladesh international border last night.
The Guwahati Border Guard (BSF) official handle tweeted, “On the sacred occasion of Diwali, the border guards of @BSF_Guwahati Ftr exchange sweets and greetings with Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) at the Indo-Bangladesh International Border.”
