Val-de-Reuil: The carnival goes back to Indian times

that carnival is making a comeback Val de Reuil (Eur) Saturday April 23, 2023. For the 2022 edition, the whole city will dress up in the colors of the Indian subcontinent and take on the atmosphere of New Delhi, Kolkata or Bombay while partying! “The homeland of Gandhi will be honored next Saturday with the great festival walk, punctuated by shows and entertainment,” announces the city of Val-de-Reuil.

Meeting point of the 4 seasons

The meeting is scheduled at 1pm, Place des 4 Saisons. Participants are encouraged to dress in white. “This impeccable outfit, to which all participants are invited, will allow everyone to let themselves be enveloped by the magic of ‘Holi’ – the great Indian festival of colors that traditionally marks the return of spring,” specifies the town hall.

Huge flash mob and snack

The procession starts at 2:30 p.m. and takes the Voie de l’Échange and then the Route de Louviers to the Plaine Saint-Jean, where the children of the leisure centers gather in a huge flash mob around the carnivale.

City will then serve a snack. It is being prepared by Solidar’India, an association founded by medical students with the aim of raising funds for disadvantaged people in Kolkata.
