REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, KUALA TERENGGANU – The Islamic Civilization Park (TTI), one of the main tourist attractions of Terengganu, is open again for visitors from today, Thursday (23.9.). State Tourism, Culture and Digital Technology Committee chairman Ariffin Deraman said the opening was in line with Terengganu’s transition to the third phase of the National Reconstruction Plan (PPN) on Friday, 09/17.

“After more than four months of operations shutdown due to the COVID-19 outbreak, TTI can now be opened to visitors in accordance with Standard Operating Instructions (SOPs) set by the National Security Council (MKN),” he said, quoted in Called, Thursday (23.09.).

“In connection with the opening, we are offering various attractive promotions with reduced admission prices of 10 RM for children and seniors, 15 RM for adults,” he said at a press conference at TTI.

Some of the attractions opened at TTI include Monument Park, TTI River Cruise, D’Benteng Restaurant, and Crystal Mosque. Ariffin said the committee also plans to build two additional monuments to attract more tourists to TTI.

“So far, I have not been able to announce the details of the two monuments that are to be built; they are historical buildings from the Middle East and China,” he said.

He added that so far 21 monuments related to Islamic history have been erected there, including the National Mosque (Malaysia), the Dome of the Rock (Palestine), the Great Mosque (Saudi Arabia), the Alhambra Fortress (Spain) and the Taj Mahal ( India).
