The Indonesian women’s national team qualifies for the Asian Cup 2022

Jakarta, CNN Indonesia –

Indonesian women’s national team made it to the finals Asian Cup 2022 after the 1-0 win against Singapore in the second game of the qualifying round of Group C on Monday (27.09.).

Garuda Pertiwi troops performed brilliantly at the Replubican Central Stadium in Dushanbe, Tajikistan. In the first half, Indonesia had several golden chances and scored a goal in the 31st minute.

It was Octavianti Dwi Nurmalita who broke the impasse. Octavianti’s goal was scored after taking advantage of the chaos in front of the Singapore gate.

Indonesia actually had a chance to score in the eighth and 18th minutes through Baiq Amiatun Shalihah. However, Baiq’s chance could still be thwarted by Singapore goalkeeper Kusumawati.

Singapore tried to take revenge, but the attack built could still be broken by Indonesia’s solid defenses. The 1-0 for the advantage of the red-whites lasted until the break.

Singapore tried to put pressure on them in the second half but the tenacity of Rudy Eka Priyambada’s squad managed to dampen the opposing side’s attack.

Indonesia had the best chance in the 80th minute with Nurhayati’s shot in front of goal. Unfortunately, the ball is still slightly away from the left side of the goal.

Garuda Pertiwi’s troops had a number of opportunities in the final minutes but were unable to score. The 1-0 lead for Indonesia lasted until the end of the game.

Singapore was the only opponent of the Indonesian women’s national team at the event after the resignation of North Korea and Iraq. Previously, Indonesia had also defeated Singapore in the first Group C game.

This gives Indonesia the right to lead the standings with a score of six points and advance to the final of the Asian Women’s Cup 2022, which will be played in India.
