Komang won India’s representative Keyura Mopati in two straight games 21:13, 21:14 in the game held at Taipei Heping Basketball Gymnasium, Taipei on Tuesday (7/19/2022).
“I’m very happy to go to Taipei for the first time and play in the Super 300 class. Today I played better to control my opponent. The only obstacle was the wind, which was quite strong. But I had to be able to overcome this situation,” Komang told PP PBSI’s PR and media team.
Born in Denpasar on October 21, 2002, being the only representative of Indonesian women’s singles at the event did not weigh her down.
On the other hand, Komang wants to do his best at every opportunity. Including Wednesday (7/20) tomorrow when he is challenged by host representative Chen Su Yu in the round of 32.
“Playing here is not a burden. I want to do my best if I get the opportunity in a match that is high enough for me. But tomorrow I have to play calmly and enjoy the match as much as possible.” concluded Komang.
In the main round of the Chinese Taipei Open 2022, Komang meets vice host Chen Su Yu.
Another representative, Ikhsan Leonardo Imanuel Rumbay, will join second seedling from Chinese Taipei, Wang Tzu Wei, in field two.
Unfortunately, Christian Adinata did not follow Komang’s steps. This men’s singles representative ran aground by Taipei’s Chen Chi Ting in a rubber game, 21-14, 17-21, 15-21.
