Budding shooter Nancy and Olympian Elavenil Valarivan put in a great performance in the women's 10m air rifle to claim gold and silver respectively at the Asia Olympic Qualifiers here on Wednesday.
Teenager Nancy, the junior team world champion, shot an outstanding 252.8 in the final field of eight to secure top spot.
Compatriot Elavenil was unlucky to miss out on the gold medal by just a fraction of a point with a total score of 252.7.
India narrowly missed out on a clean sweep in the women's 10m air rifle final after Mehuli Ghosh finished fourth, 210 points behind China's Shen Yufan.
India's world champion shooter Rudrankksh Patil settled for the bronze medal in the men's 10m air rifle shooting final with 228.7, which was won by Ma Sihan of China (251.4), while Korea's Daehan Choe took silver.
Another Indian who made it to the final, Arjun Babuta, came sixth.
Rudrankksh had qualified third for the eight-shooter final with a score of 630.4, while Babuta (629.6) went into the medal round in fourth place.
Nancy was consistent throughout the final and didn't have a single score that was below average, while Elavenil was unlucky on her tenth shot in the final and scored a 9.7, which ultimately decided her fate.
Previously, 24-year-old Elavenil topped the qualifying round with a score of 633.8, while Nancy had a total score of 632.4 and Mehuli had a total score of 631.0.
