South Indian film stars Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Vijay Deverakonda were injured in a stunt scene in Kashmir. The duo is shooting for their new movie “Kushi” in the Valley State.
Both were reportedly injured performing stunts.
“Samantha and Vijay were performing a stunt sequence in the Pahalgam area of Kashmir, during which they sustained injuries. The scene was very tough. Both actors had to drive a vehicle over the rope fixed on either side of the Lidder River, but unfortunately the vehicle fell into the deep water, injuring both their backs,” a crew member told Hindustan Times. “They were first given help that day itself.”

The incident happened over the weekend. On Sunday both Prabhu and Deverakonda continued filming, this time at Dal Lake in Srinagar, but both complained of back pain during filming.
“Both actors were immediately taken to the nearby hotel on the shore of Dal Lake. Physiotherapists have been called and therapy is ongoing,” the crew member informed, adding, “Both actors are filming under tight security and no one is allowed to come near them.”

The film’s first poster was unveiled on social media earlier this month and is set to hit theaters on December 23.
It is published in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam. The project marks the second collaboration between Prabhu and Deverakonda after Mahanati (2018).
Meanwhile, Prabhu has uploaded numerous pictures of the place to her social media and enjoyed local Kashmiri cuisine during her stay.
