PSIS bring in England goalkeeping coach, here are his track records, JAKARTA – administration PSIS Semarang have signed a new goalkeeping coach from England, Rory Grand, who holds a UEFA goalkeeping B license.

PSIS Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Yoyok Sukawi said Rory Grand was hired to improve and make young PSIS goalkeepers shine with his multi-club experience.

“We recruited Rory because of his experience. He is a goalkeeping coach who often produces brilliant goalkeepers and can play in the national team,” Yoyok told the club’s official website on Sunday.

According to him, Laskar Mahesa Jenar currently has a lot of young goalkeepers who surely need training to get better.

“It’s definitely good for PSIS because PSIS has a lot of young goalkeepers and we hope Rory can inspire our young goalkeepers to be better and more mature in the future,” said Yoyok.

With the arrival of Rory, goalkeeping coach I Komang Putra is promoted to assistant coach to help head coach Sergio Alexandre and assistant coach Achmad Resal with team building League 1 2022/2023.

“Coach Komang will be promoted to assistant coach. This is intended to make the PSIS team more mature and complete,” Yoyok said.

Rory has previously been a goalkeeper for Solihull Moors (England), Rushal Olympic (England) and Samut Prakan (Thailand) among others.

In his goalkeeping coaching career, Rory Grand True has managed Bangkok United Thailand (2015-2018), Kerala Blasters India (2018-2019) and Preah Khan Reach Svay Rieng Cambodia (2019-2021).

During his time at Bangkok United, Rory had delivered several brilliant goalkeepers including Supanot Suadsong, who made his debut with Thailand U19 national team, Varuth Wongsomak, who also made his debut with Thailand U19 national team.

Then Sumethee Khokpho who made his debut with the Thailand U21 national team, Anusith Termee who was called up to the Thailand U23 national team and Micheal Falkesgaard who made his debut with the Philippines national team.

While at Kerala Blasters India, Rory successfully guided Dheeraj Singh to India’s U23 national team debut.

Finally, in Cambodia, Rory won the 2019 Cambodian League and led his team, Aim Sovannarath, to the 2019 ‘Goalkeeper of the Year’ for the Cambodian League.
