Opening of new lines between Vietnam and India

Vietjet announced the opening of new routes to India, including Hanoi-Mumbai, Ho Chi Minh City-Mumbai, Phu Quoc-New Delhi and Phu Quoc-Mumbai, at a ceremony on April 19 in Hanoi, marking the return and Expanding its activities marks this country of 1.4 billion people.

Speakers at the ceremony included Speaker of the National Assembly of Vietnam Vuong Dinh Hue and Speaker of the Indian People’s House Om Birla.

Flight routes from Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi to Mumbai will operate on June 2 and 3, respectively, with a frequency of 4 round trips and 3 round trips per week. The Phu Quoc – Mumbai route will be operated with a frequency of four round trips per week and the Phu Quoc – New Delhi route with three round trips per week from September 8 and September 9, 2022 respectively.

Vietjet currently operates two regular commercial routes from Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City to New Delhi, with no charter flights from Vietnam to Bodh Gaya. The two routes Ho Chi Minh City/Hanoi – New Delhi will operate at a frequency of three round trips per week from April 29 and April 30 respectively.

On that occasion, Vuong Dinh Huê and Om Birla and other delegates attended the handover ceremony of an agreement to establish an IT joint venture between Galaxy Digital Holdings, a member of Sovico Group (Vietnam) and Tech Mahindra Group (India).

Galaxy Digital Holdings and Tech Mahindra will jointly establish a technology joint venture focused on building a global software development center in Vietnam that will provide a big data platform and automated AI/ML (Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning) services ) provides; the development of the research and innovation center, the information technology training center.
