OnePlus 9RT was spotted in the OnePlus Care app in India before launch

OnePlus is expected to launch its OnePlus 9RT in India shortly. It is speculated that the smartphone will be renamed OnePlus RT for India. Now the device has been discovered by Tipster as part of a new listing in the OnePlus Care app in India Mukul Sharma, and reported for the first time by 91 Cell Phones.

As a reminder: The OnePlus 9RT was presented in China in October. The Indian variant of the device is expected to have the same specifications as its Chinese counterpart, which includes a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset and a 6.62-inch AMOLED display, among other things.

Also tipster Mukul Sharma (@stufflistings) spotted an ad in Google search results suggesting the OnePlus RT is coming soon and will be for sale on Amazon India. This Furthur suggests the renaming of the device in India.

As a reminder, this isn’t the first report to mention that the OnePlus 9RT will be getting a name change before it’s launch in India. Recently, listings of the phone with the OnePlus RT branding were spotted on the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) website.

OnePlus RT: Expected Specifications

The OnePlus RT is expected to come with a 6.62-inch FHD + AMOLED display with support for a refresh rate of 120 Hz. The device could run on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset, which also powers the OnePlus 9 Pro, and could pack up to 12 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256 GB of UFS 3.1 storage.

The device will most likely include a triple rear camera setup with a 50 MP main camera as well as a 16 MP secondary camera and a 2 MP tertiary sensor for macro photography.

A 16-megapixel selfie camera is also expected, which could be housed in a punch hole oriented at the top left. The smartphone can be supported by a 4,500 mAh battery that supports Warp Charge 65T fast charging. The OnePlus RT will likely also support 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth v5.2, GPS / A-GPS and NFC.
