Ola denies reports of a merger with Uber

New Delhi: Indian taxi aggregator Ola and its US rival Uber on Friday denied media reports of a merger.

Ola CEO Bhavish Aggarwal called the reports “absolute rubbish” and tweeted: “We are very profitable and growing well.

“This report is inaccurate. We are not and have not been in merger talks with Ola.” Channel News Asia quoted Uber as saying.

Earlier, The economy time reported that Aggarwal met Uber executives in San Francisco.

In January 2022, Uber sold its local grocery delivery company Uber Eats to Indian company Zomato.
