Deli Serdang, North Sumatra – As a global airport operator based in New Delhi, India, GMR Airport International has won the tender for a strategic partnership for Kualanamu International Airport with a management period of 25 years. This was announced at the Kualanamu International Airport Strategic Partnership Awards ceremony on Tuesday (23/11/2021) in the Ballroom of the Ministry of State Enterprises, 21st floor, Jalan Merdeka Selatan No. 13, Central Jakarta.
In the presence of the Deputy Minister of BUMN II Kartika Wiroatmodjo, Director of PT Aviasi Tourism Indonesia (Persero), Directors of PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero), Board of Directors of PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero), President Director of GMR Indonesia as the winner the tender for the strategic partnership of Kualanamu International Airport and Director of PT Angkasa Pura Aviation.
“Through the strategic partnership program (Strategic Partnership) PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero) and GMR Airport International Company will join the Joint Venture Company (JVCo), namely PT Angkasa Pura Aviasi with 51% of the shares in AP II and 49% of GMR. The management and development of Kualanamu International Airport will be handed over to PT Angkasa Pura Aviasi, “said PT Angkasa Pura II President Muhammad Awaludin on Tuesday (23/11/2021).
