MANADOPOST.ID – Miss India, Harnaaz Sandhu was crowned Miss Universe 2021. The Miss Universe 2021 beauty pageant will take place on Sunday (December 12th) local time in Eilat, Israel.

Sandhu managed to beat 79 other contestants from around the world and continued the fight from Miss Universe 2020, Andrea Meza. Also as the successor to Lara Dutta, Miss Universe 2000 from India. 21 year old new title returns to India. Previously India had Miss Universe 1994 Sushmita Sen. India has also garnered 3 Miss Universe titles. 1994, 2000, 2021.

Citing the Miss Universe page, this woman with long black hair is very much inspired by her mother. The mother, she said, helped break India’s strong patriarchal system by becoming a successful gynecologist. The mother also became a strong personality to lead her family.

Sandhu grew up with his mother in a health camp that deals with both women’s health and menstrual hygiene. This supports Sandhu in becoming a campaigner for the empowerment of women, especially for their constitutional rights to education, career and freedom of choice. She also hopes to break the world’s stereotypes about women.
