Acknowledging the center’s immediate steps to evacuate students from Ukraine, in coordination with states, Stalin said in a letter to Modi that there was a “sense of disappointment” among students that the Union government had not taken similar concrete steps regarding the continuation of their studies.
“I therefore urge you to instruct the NMC (National Medical Commission) and the Union Ministries concerned to take steps to introduce the necessary changes in the relevant Central Laws to enable these students to continue their studies in medical colleges in India.” If this is difficult necessary steps must be taken immediately to provide students with an alternative way of continuing their studies at foreign universities, Stalin said.
