David Miller and Rassie van der Dussen batted fiery half centuries to lead South Africa to a seven-wicket win over India on Thursday in the first T20 International of the five-game series.

Miller (64 not out) and Van der Dussen (75 not out) chasing a mammoth 212 and sharing an unbeaten 131-run streak for the fourth wicket to carry the visitors home with consummate ease.

Axar Patel (1/40), Bhuveneshwar Kumar (1/43) and Harshal Patel (1/43) each scalped a wicket for India.

Earlier here on Thursday, Ishan Kishan smashed 76 balls from 48 in the first T20 International to put India 211-4 against South Africa.

Shreyas Iyer (36), skipper Rishabh Pant (29) and alternate Hardik Pandya (31 not out) also made valuable contributions to the Indian innings.
