Players were selected based on their performance in the recently concluded Senior National Championship, Junior Men National Championship and other national events approved by Hockey India.
The 60-strong list will be reduced to 33 players ahead of the team’s preparations for the 2022 FIH Pro League games.
“We are already in the new Olympic cycle so everything is starting from scratch. It is really important to move forward and start over,” said India head coach Graham Reid.
“With the FIH Pro League coming up, the 2022 Asian Games and various other high profile tournaments going to be very important for us to have a strong pool of 33 people to prepare for the challenging 2022 season.”
