Easily create videos with AI

Google recently made an important announcement for content creators, unveiling new features designed to improve the user experience of its platform.

Among these innovations, the Dream Screen functionality in particular attracted a lot of attention during the “Made on YouTube” event in New York. On this occasion, the director of the famous Google video platform, Neal Mohan, presented new products based on artificial intelligence.

This experimental feature is designed specifically for Shorts, YouTube’s short video format that competes with TikTok and Instagram Reels. It uses generative artificial intelligence to add images or videos in the background.

To do this, simply enter keywords to convert the text into images, relying on the same principle as other generative AI services such as DALL-E, Midjourney or Stable Diffusion. According to YouTube, this generative AI feature will be available later this year.

Dream Screen allows users to bring their videos to life by choosing from a variety of customizable backgrounds, creating more attractive and engaging videos.

New YouTube app?

In the same context of innovations and new features, the Google subsidiary also unveiled a new mobile application called “YouTube Create”, which aims to simplify the process of editing short and long-form videos for content creators.

This application provides a range of tools including automatic subtitles, voiceovers, filters, effects, transitions, and royalty-free music with tempo synchronization technology.

YouTube Create is a free app currently available in beta for Android in select countries, including the US, Germany, France, the UK, Indonesia, India, Korea and Singapore. Availability is expected to expand to other regions and Apple’s iOS system in 2024.

An AI-powered synchronization tool

At the same time, the platform also launched Aloud, an artificial intelligence-based synchronization tool. Aloud offers content creators a simple and effective solution to sync their videos into different languages without requiring advanced language skills.

With this innovative technology, YouTube further expands the reach of its content by enabling creators to reach a broader global audience. This feature is currently only available to a select number of users.

These announcements demonstrate Google’s continued commitment to supporting and empowering users’ creativity on its platform, and provide content creators with new ways to engage their audiences and inspire their creativity.
