BWF Best Player, Tai Tzu Ying is aiming for the world title

Ligaolahraga.com –

Badminton News: Tai Tzu Ying, Taiwan women’s single player No. 1, who was nominated four times in a row for the BWF Female Players of the Year Award, finally took the award this year after winning Chen Yufei (China), Carolina Marin (Spain ) and Akane Yamaguchi (Japan).

She received the BWF Female Players of the Year Award after arriving in Huelva, Spain to compete in the 2021 BWF World Championships.

“Nice to meet you for the first time, I really appreciate your support,” said Tai as he posted a selfie next to the trophy on his social media.

On paper, Tai Tzu Ying has a very high chance of winning this year’s world championship after Tokyo Olympic gold medalist Chen Yufei, Rio Olympic gold medalist Carolina Marin, and 2017 world champion from Japan Nozomi Okuhara, have withdrawn from the tournament.

However, since Tai has not competed in an international tournament since losing to Chen Yufei in the final of the Tokyo Olympics, it is difficult to say whether Tai’s physical condition and mental strength are still in tip-top shape.

Players like An Seyoung from Korea and Pornpawee Chochuwong from Thailand have made big breakthroughs after the Tokyo Olympics and they could face either defending champion PV Sindhu from India or Pornpawee Chochuwong from Thailand in the quarter-finals.

Tai Tzu Ying’s best record at the World Championships is the quarter-finals of the 2013, 2014, 2015, 2018 and 2019 editions.

The winner of the soccer player of the year 2021, Viktor Axelsen

Denmark, grateful for the award.

“This year means a lot to me and this award really motivates me to work

louder, “said Axelsen
