JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – In less than a week workers and workers will commemorate Labor Day Commemoration International (May Day).

But on the other hand, the Covid-19 pandemic is not over, there has also been an increase for office clusters at DKI Jakarta in the last 2 weeks.

Minister of Labor, Ida Fauziyah, which enables workers to celebrate May 1st in a variety of ways. However, Labor Minister Ida reminded them to abide by health protocols.

“I remind colleagues who will celebrate May 1st to continue to adhere to the health protocols,” said Ida in a press release on Wednesday (April 28, 2021).

Ida reminded workers not to ignore health protocols so as not to cause new clusters to spread Covid-19. For him, the outbreak of the Covid-19 case that is currently sweeping India should be a valuable lesson.

“We can learn a lot from India, which has eased the process that has resulted in a new, more powerful cluster. That shouldn’t happen to us, ”he said.

Ida said the Department of Labor will also celebrate on May 2021 by organizing vaccinations for confederation officials and a range of other social activities.

“We will also hold May 1st together with the unions / unions and APINDO as an entrepreneurial element. We will do various social activities as a form of concern, ”he said.

Ida hopes that May Day can be an impetus to strengthen togetherness and brotherhood, to become a unifying instrument for the nation and to increase social resilience in the fight against Covid-19.
