Batik Air will open flights from Surabaya to a number of countries in Asia, here are the routes

TEMPO.CO, jakartawater tie dye will open flight routes from Juanda Airport, Surabaya to a number of countries in Southeast Asia and South Asia.

“First flight immediately to bring better connectivity to the public, business people and tourists from Indonesia,” said Mushafiz Bin Mustafa Bakri, CEO of Batik Air, in a written statement on Sunday, July 24, 2022.

Batik Air plans to operate the latest generation of Boeing 737 series aircraft, which will be sent directly from the manufacturer. Though he did not mention when the inaugural flight would be operated, Mushafiz said the airline will gradually develop its international network through the plan to open the new route from Surabaya.

“In the future, it will further facilitate the mobility of people, tourists and business people to and from Indonesia Surabaya complements the selection of Batik Air flights on global routes from Jakarta, Medan Kualanamu and Bali,” he said.

Mushafiz continued that Batik Air’s new route will facilitate access from central Indonesia, namely Surabaya, to leading countries. The most popular destinations affordable by Lion Air Group airlines also include Malaysia, Vietnam, Thailand, India, Bangladesh, Pakistan and Nepal.

“This is an attempt to contribute to government programs in each country in line with the global economic recovery process, and we hope that this will further improve bilateral relations between countries and help the smooth flow of logistics in the Asian region,” he said .
