Anushka Sharma to start filming her comeback film Chakda Xpress after holiday in Maldives

Anushka Sharma is back to what she loves most: filming. After a well-deserved vacation with husband Virat Kohli and daughter Vamika, the actress has started shooting for her sports drama Chakda Xpress. Sharma shared the update on her social media with a carousel post.

In the post, there is a video previewing Anushka’s dressing table named “Jhulan”. Next is a picture of the Chakda Xpress digital clapboard. The third image is dedicated to her character, Jhulan’s mate, at a seasonal ball.

Here is the post

Even before the start of the film, the actress left no stone unturned to prepare for her role. Sharma trained for cricket for hours, making sure she passed the sport for her achievement. Chakda Xpress celebrates the life of Indian bowler Jhulan Goswami. Chakda Xpress chronicles Jhulan’s inspirational journey as she rises through the ranks, despite obstacles from misogynistic politics, to fulfill her dream of playing cricket for India. She achieved her goal and became captain of the India women’s national cricket team and is a role model for aspiring women cricket players in the country.

A source previously revealed that the film will be shot in India and England. Anushka is reportedly set to fly to the UK to film a 30-day slate of the cricket film, which means massive editing by Chakda Xpress. A senior business source revealed: “This is Anushka’s first film since becoming a mother. So there is much anticipation to see her back on screen as she delivers some of the most remarkable performances by a leading lady in Indian cinema. Also the fact that Anushka is making a cricket movie makes the product even hotter!
