Aamir Khan challenges Irfan, Harbhajan; says: ‘It’s time to prove my worth as a cricketer’

Aamir Khan is currently preparing for his upcoming highly anticipated film Laal Singh Chaddha, also starring Kareena Kapoor Khan. The actor is leaving no stone unturned to promote his upcoming drama flick, and in the midst of it all, a video is making the rounds on social media in which Aamir Khan challenges former Indian cricketers Irfan Pathan and Harbhajan Singh and declares he’s ready to uphold his worth as an actor to prove ‘honest dough’.

The video was shared a few days after former cricketer Ravi Shastri told Aamir Khan he needed to improve his footwork if he wanted to play in the IPL.

On Monday, Star Sports India released a video on his official Instagram profile in which the 57-year-old actor tells his fans he will convince Irfan and Harbhajan that he is a good cricketer.

In the clip, Aamir said: “Friends, the time has come. Now I’m going to prove to these two that I’m a cricketer and they’re going to tell me, ‘Please, please play cricket on our teams.’ Shortly thereafter, Harbhajan and Irfan said that Aamir should stick with acting because cricket isn’t for everyone thing is.

Irfan Pathan said: ‘There is repetition in acting but not in cricket. In real cricket you have to face fast bowlers, leg spinners, mysterious spinners and not an underarm bowler. So my suggestion to Aamir Bhai is that you concentrate on acting and leave cricket to us.”

What Ravi Shastri said about Aamir Khan’s IPL chances

Earlier, Star Sports India shared a video on Twitter of Aamir Khan trying his hand at cricket. The video had a caption: “IPL mein chance hai kya (Do I have a chance to make it to IPL teams)?” In response, Ravi Shastri said, “He’s looking good in the nets. He probably needs some time for use his footwork. But he should be included in most teams.”

Aamir responded to Ravi’s comment: “Ravi, I’m a little disappointed that you (Ravi Shastri) didn’t like my footwork. Maybe you haven’t seen Lagaan. watch it again Any team would be lucky to have me. Recommend me correctly. It will be fun. You wanted the right footwork, look at that.”
