This Tuesday, May 10, 2022, the Paris Commercial Court confirmed the takeover of the Limogeaude France manufacture in forced liquidation by the French company Marck and Balsan.
The costume factory takes a new turn in Limoges.
The France Manufacture company, which has been in forced liquidation since the end of February 2022, will be taken over by the Marck and Balsan company with its 13 employees, the Paris Commercial Court ruled on May 10, 2022.
Three buyers were in the running.
On his sideMarck and Balsan presents itself as “a French industrial company, reference for clothing (uniforms) and equipment for administrations (army, public security) and private companies in France and abroad.
The clothing company owns six production units in Franceeach specialized in a specific area: Calais, Cluses, Montierchaume (Indre), Sainte-Pazanne, La Chartre-sur-le-Loir and Sea.
The French presence is complemented by a presence in Tunisia with three workshops specialized in waterproof clothing and PPE (personal protective equipment), but also by partnerships with factories in the Mediterranean, China and India.
Already taken over by a married couple in spring 2020, France Manufacture followed France Confection, the last French costume designer.
Operations have partially resumed with a handful of employees in full confinement, initially with the production of 80,000 surgical masks.
After that, contracts were signed with Agnès B, Chanel or St-James and the team expanded to around twenty people.
At the end of 2020, those responsible announced that they wanted to invest 180,000 euros in new production technology.
But after difficulties, the judicial liquidation was pronounced at the end of February 2022.
Buyer Marck and Balsan should detail its strategy in the coming days.
