2 important notes from the Indonesian men's doubles coach

Bisnis.com, JAKARTA – Indonesian men's doubles coach Aryono Miranat gave his team a two-point lead India Open 2024.

Aryono Miranat stressed the importance of maintaining consistency and focus ahead of the second BWF tournament this year, the India Open 2024. The India Open 2024 will take place from January 16 to 21 in New Delhi.

According to Aryono, it is important to improve these two things when looking at the Indonesian men's doubles performance at the 2024 Malaysia Open.

“Consistency and focus are the things I value most from them. The mind must also be strong and calm. Because as you saw yesterday at the Malaysia Open, on average when they are in the lead they are overtaken by their opponents. This cannot happen,” he told Aryono Miranat, quoted from the statement. Aryono added that his team completed a training session and adapted to today's field conditions.

“The field situation is good, the children are trying to adapt to the new atmosphere. So far everything is fine, including the physical condition of the men’s doubles,” said Aryono.

“Mentally, I believe they can come back because every game starts again, again from scratch. Yesterday’s results are forgotten and in this new game we have to be optimistic again,” he said.

Indonesia fielded three men's doubles teams at the India Open 2024, namely Fajar Alfian/Muhammad Rian Ardianto, Bagas Maulana/Muhammad Shohibul Fikri and Leo Rolly Carnando/Daniel Marthin.

The Mohammad Ahsan/Hendra Setiawan men's doubles team has decided to withdraw from the India Open 2024 due to Ahsan suffering a hip injury at the Malaysia Open 2024 last week.

On the other hand, Leo/Daniel said that their focus this time was to maintain their physical and mental condition in the BWF Super 750 tournament.

The pair, known as The Babies, are determined not to fall in the early rounds of the India Open as they did at the Malaysia Open last week.

“We want to go straight into the first game, the opponent is not easy, but we are ready,” said Leo.

“We are ready to give our best and fight again. Yesterday was a valuable lesson to achieve good results at the India Open,” Daniel added.

Meanwhile, Indonesia brought nine representatives to the second tournament of the Asian tour. In addition to the three men's doubles, there is the women's singles Gregoria Mariska Tunjung, then there are also the men's singles Anthony Sinisuka Ginting and Jonatan Christie.

Next in the mixed doubles division are Rinov Rivaldy/Pitha Haningtyas Mentari, Rehan Naufal Kusharjanto/Lisa Ayu Kusumawati and Dejan Ferdinansyah/Gloria Emanuelle Widjaja.
